About Discount Flags and Poles

Discount Flags and Poles was established in February, 1993, in Knoxville, TN. It was an opportunity for the three of us, Greg, Kitty and Dave, to create a business that would serve the Knox ville community with a source of flags, flag poles and other related items and a chance to do something as a family.  It soon grew to serve not only the Knoxville area but east Tennessee , southern Kentucky and northern Georgia as well.  Now open in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and servicing the surrounding Low Country area.

We decided it is time to take the business to the Internet and see how we can better serve the larger community in the United States and beyond.  We have built our business on personal and up close customer service. Our challenge will be to create that same high level customer service on the Internet.

We once carried a lot of decorative flags in the past but have not carried much in that line anymore because most of that manufacturing went overseas. All of our products are made in the USA and we aim to keep it that way. We purchase products from three of the major flag makers in the United States - Eder Flag Company (our flag pole supplier), The Flag Zone (our main supplier) and Annin and Company (lots of items from them). If these three companies don't have what you need, it probably is out of the main stream of the products that we tend to carry.
